Lauretta Goodwin
Artistic Preferences
Lauretta has worked in various mediums including ink, watercolour as well as more tactile mediums such as resin over silver foil.
Her favourite medium these days is Acrylic and her chosen subject, Still Life, followed closely by Portraiture. Her current works are characterised by the level of detail they exhibit
Brief Biography
Lauretta was born in Launceston, Tasmania.
She has always had a great passion for art, and is predominately self-taught.
She earned a Certificate of Fine Arts and a Fine Arts Diploma at Hornsby TAFE in NSW between 1995 & 1997.
She has participated in several Art Workshops including one with Jenny Sages.
Lauretta has completed 25 commissions for portraits in various mediums, including 3 pet portraits.
She has exhibited on the NSW Central Coast, Port Stephens, the Gold Coast and Sheffield TAS resulting in the sale of a number of her paintings.
In January 2015 Lauretta had an 8 page article published in the Australian Artist Magazine under the title “Gravitating Toward Detail”.
She returned to Tasmania in July 2015 and lives in Roland, just outside of Sheffield on the North West coast.
